How
did Auburn prepare you for this position?
I had
classes in supply chain and a few on sales. Abernathy's personal selling class
was most helpful, I still remember things he said every day that help me
out.
How did you attain this position?
My super
awesome interviewing skills. It's a very young company and everyone likes
to have fun so I fit right in with the culture and they're expanding every
year.
What are some key attributes you think someone pursuing a
marketing career should have?
Persistence,
thick skinned, genuine
What advice do you have for new graduated students going into the
job market?
Start
your search now, if you don't mind moving home don't take the first job offer
you get if you don't like it, if you do mind moving home then by all means take
the job.
What do you think Auburn could have done differently to prepare
you?
Honestly,
if you are proactive they do a pretty good job. I think there could have
been a seminar or class on what the corporate world and the transition would be
like.
What would you have done differently to prepare for the "real
world"?
Probably
wouldn't have taken the first offer I got and would have moved to Colorado as I
had planned.
What is the biggest issue you deal with on a daily basis?
Monotony
and boredom!
